Syracuse men's basketball has hired former George Washington assistant coach Brenden Straughn as its final assistant coach, completing first-year head coach Adrian Autry's inaugural staff. Fourie made his first-class debut for Border against Eastern Province in the 1988/89 season.Subscribe to our sports newsletter here. He was born at East London, Cape Province. He was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. Brenden Craig Fourie (born 13 April 1970) is a former South African cricketer. From 2013-16, he helped guide the Mustangs to the 20 Maryland 4A state. Straughn started his coaching career at his alma mater, Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Greenbelt, Md.), as an assistant coach. Brenden Straughn joined the Syracuse men's basketball program as an assistant coach in March of 2023.
